Strategy
This deck is built around Kaalia of the Vast, whose attack trigger lets you put an Angel, Demon, or Dragon creature card from your hand onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. This cheats out expensive, powerful fatties like Drakuseth, Maw of Flames and Master of Cruelties years ahead of schedule. The plan is to accelerate into Kaalia, protect her, swing, and drop a game-warping threat directly into combat. Supporting this are heavy interaction (Swords to Plowshares, Anguished Unmaking, Crackling Doom) and card advantage from the creatures themselves.
Early: Prioritize mana acceleration to deploy Kaalia early. Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and the Talismans (Conviction, Hierarchy, Indulgence) plus Boros/Rakdos/Orzhov Signets and Fellwar Stone, Mind Stone, and Dark Ritual all ramp toward her four-mana cost. Once Kaalia hits the board, immediately equip Lightning Greaves for haste and shroud, or Swiftfoot Boots for hexproof and haste, so she can attack the turn she arrives while dodging removal. Hold up cheap removal like Swords to Plowshares or Path to Exile in case an opponent has a fast threat.
Mid: With Kaalia attacking, use her trigger to drop bombs into combat. Angel of Despair destroys a permanent on entry, Angel of Serenity exiles up to three creatures, and Rune-Scarred Demon tutors for any card. Master of Cruelties, if it attacks alone unblocked, sets an opponent's life to 1. Drakuseth deals 4 plus 3 to two other targets when it attacks. Isshin, Two Heavens as One doubles Kaalia's attack trigger, letting you put two creatures onto the battlefield attacking. Aurelia, the Warleader untaps your creatures and grants an extra combat phase, enabling a second Kaalia attack. Keep card advantage flowing with Phyrexian Arena, Bloodgift Demon, and Harvester of Souls.
Late: Close out with overwhelming board presence and repeatable value. Reya Dawnbringer returns a creature from your graveyard each upkeep, and Liesa, Forgotten Archangel returns your dying nontoken creatures while exiling opponents' dead creatures. Ruinous Ultimatum destroys all nonland permanents your opponents control, clearing the way for a lethal swing. Gisela, Blade of Goldnight doubles damage dealt to opponents, making your attackers and Drakuseth's triggers devastating. Archfiend of Depravity and Ob Nixilis, Unshackled grind opponents down. Angel of the Ruins and Steel Hellkite clean up problematic artifacts and enchantments.
Win conditions: Primary win is combat damage from cheated-in fliers, amplified by Gisela, Blade of Goldnight doubling all damage to opponents. Master of Cruelties reduces a player to 1 life for an easy follow-up kill. Drakuseth, Maw of Flames burns targets each attack. Aurelia and Isshin generate extra combats and doubled triggers for explosive turns. Hellkite Tyrant offers an alternate win if you control twenty or more artifacts at your upkeep, and steals opponents' artifacts on combat damage.
