How Zaxara decks play in EDH
Zaxara, the Exemplary is a Sultai commander in blue, black and green costing 1BGU, and its legendary creature - nightmare hydra line shapes the whole deck around it. It makes tokens, so the deck wants ways to pump a wide board and to turn spare bodies into cards or damage. It cares about +1/+1 counters, so counter-doubling effects and creatures that grow on their own carry the deck. The cards below are the ones Zaxara, the Exemplary decks actually play most often, grouped by the job they do.
