Sab-Sunen, Luxa Embodied
Reach, trample, indestructible Sab-Sunen can't attack or block unless it has an even number of counters on it. (Zero is even.) At the beginning of your first main phase, put a +1/+1 counter on Sab-Sunen. Then if it has an odd number of counters on it, draw two cards.
How Sab-Sunen decks play in EDH
Sab-Sunen, Luxa Embodied is a Simic commander in blue and green costing 3GU, and its legendary creature - god line shapes the whole deck around it. It cares about +1/+1 counters, so counter-doubling effects and creatures that grow on their own carry the deck. It draws extra cards, so the deck can afford a lower curve and lean on volume. The cards below are the ones Sab-Sunen, Luxa Embodied decks actually play most often, grouped by the job they do.
