Qala, Ajani's Pridemate
Whenever Qala attacks, other attacking creatures you control get +X/+0 until end of turn, where X is the number of counters on Qala. Whenever you gain life, put a +1/+1 counter on Qala. {3}{W}: You gain 1 life.
How Qala decks play in EDH
Qala, Ajani's Pridemate is a mono-white commander costing 3W, and its legendary creature - cat warrior line shapes the whole deck around it. It cares about +1/+1 counters, so counter-doubling effects and creatures that grow on their own carry the deck. Life gain is a resource here rather than a safety net, so cards that convert life totals into damage or draw belong in the list. The cards below are the ones Qala, Ajani's Pridemate decks actually play most often, grouped by the job they do.
