Hired Muscle // Scarmaker
Whenever you cast a Spirit or Arcane spell, you may put a ki counter on this creature. At the beginning of the end step, if there are two or more ki counters on this creature, you may flip it. // Remove a ki counter from Scarmaker: Target creature gains fear until end of turn. (It can't be blocked except by artifact creatures and/or black creatures.)
How Hired Muscle // Scarmaker decks play in EDH
Hired Muscle // Scarmaker is a mono-black commander costing 1BB, and its creature - human warrior // legendary creature - spirit line shapes the whole deck around it. Artifacts drive the deck, so cheap mana rocks and artifact recursion do double duty. Built-in evasion means damage gets through reliably, so effects that scale that damage are worth more than extra bodies. Every card in a Hired Muscle // Scarmaker deck has to fit inside its black colour identity.

What colours can I use in a Hired Muscle // Scarmaker deck?
Hired Muscle // Scarmaker has a mono-black colour identity, so every card in the deck must be black or colourless. That includes mana symbols in rules text, not just casting cost.
What are the best cards for Hired Muscle // Scarmaker?
Start with a solid base of ramp, card draw and removal in black, then add the cards that specifically support Hired Muscle // Scarmaker's ability. Grimoire's builder handles this automatically.
How much does a Hired Muscle // Scarmaker deck cost?
It depends entirely on the version you build. Grimoire lets you set a budget before generating, and shows a live price for every card in the finished list.
Can I build a Hired Muscle // Scarmaker deck from cards I already own?
Yes. Import your collection into Grimoire and choose "my cards" when you build. The generator will only use cards you actually own, and the Missing Cards page shows what you would need to buy to finish any list.
