Deekah, Fractal Theorist
Magecraft — Whenever you cast or copy an instant or sorcery spell, create a 0/0 green and blue Fractal creature token. Put X +1/+1 counters on it, where X is that spell's mana value. {3}{U}: Target creature token can't be blocked this turn.
How Deekah decks play in EDH
Deekah, Fractal Theorist is a mono-blue commander costing 4U, and its legendary creature - human wizard line shapes the whole deck around it. It makes tokens, so the deck wants ways to pump a wide board and to turn spare bodies into cards or damage. It cares about +1/+1 counters, so counter-doubling effects and creatures that grow on their own carry the deck. The cards below are the ones Deekah, Fractal Theorist decks actually play most often, grouped by the job they do.
