Appa, Steadfast Guardian
Flash Flying When Appa enters, airbend any number of other target nonland permanents you control. (Exile them. While each one is exiled, its owner may cast it for {2} rather than its mana cost.) Whenever you cast a spell from exile, create a 1/1 white Ally creature token.
How Appa decks play in EDH
Appa, Steadfast Guardian is a mono-white commander costing 2WW, and its legendary creature - bison ally line shapes the whole deck around it. It makes tokens, so the deck wants ways to pump a wide board and to turn spare bodies into cards or damage. Built-in evasion means damage gets through reliably, so effects that scale that damage are worth more than extra bodies. The cards below are the ones Appa, Steadfast Guardian decks actually play most often, grouped by the job they do.
